At the core of true freedom and success – is to know reality.
“We accept the reality of the world with which we’re presented. It’s as simple as that.” Christof (The Truman Show, 1998)
If someone would offer you to be Truman, if you get the chance to be plugged into a world in which you would experience a pleasant, wonderful dream-life. Would you accept? You would be rich and famous, live a happy dream life, without sorrow or pain, have wonderful relationships with dream figures, experience great things and a great dream life. And that dream world would be your reality, your life, your everything. But, you would not know that it’s a dream, an illusion pulled over your eyes – until you die. You could never get out again. Never. Would you accept that offer? Why not? Think about that.
You want to live a real life. You want to participate and make a real difference – and know it. And you want the truth.
The history of the human being is the history of searching for truth. In essence, we want to understand. We want to see things as they really are. We want to know and experience reality as it is. We want to have a genuine experience of life. We want to make real impact – we want mastery. We want to be „in charge“ of our destiny.
Living in a dream, regardless how wonderful that life would seem to be, would be living a lie, living in a trap were hidden forces would shape our life. We would be puppets. Manipulated, oblivious, lost souls.
Our civilization has enabled us to achieve an amazing level of personal freedom. Today more people have more choices and opportunities than ever before. You can choose to do, be, work, learn, think almost anything you desire. Yet, this is just the beginning. During the last ten years, science is opening the door to a completely new level of freedom – we are starting to discover how our brain really works and understand the forces that govern our mind and lives. This is the big thing in science today. The neurosciences, cognitive psychology, brain research is starting to reveal the very fabric of experience itself – the secrets of our mind. We are getting to the „why?“ of our thoughts, choices, decisions and action. So today completely new, fascinating knowledge, new insights into the hidden dynamics which govern our minds and lives are emerging.
At the core of true freedom – is to know reality. At the core of our ability to act freely is to know the forces that influence our mind and behavior. We can be free only to the extent we are aware of and control the real forces that shape our experiences, decisions, actions and destiny – the truth about ourselves.
Slowly, we are leaving the old age of vague “wise advises” about how to live and succeed, and entering a phase in which scientific discoveries are starting to give us practical knowledge, tools, and conclusions what is hidden at the core of life mastery. We learned how to build and control rockets and computers. We are starting to learn how to build and manage our minds. These discoveries will fundamentally change our perspective about ourselves, about life and success, about who we are, why we think, act and feel the way we do. We are starting to discover our deepest illusions, our social and evolutionary programming, the limits and capabilities of our mind.
And we are starting to learn how to apply that knowledge in all areas of our lives: in business, in education, politics, medicine, coaching, personal development, and our day to day decisions. Each one of us can empower him/herself to reach a whole new level of personal freedom – inner freedom. Inner freedom means mastering your own inner powers, at the very core. It is the ability to effectively manage the underlying mechanics of our experience, our thoughts, actions and feelings. The more we discover about ourselves, the more we are opening up that new window of freedom. The good news is that today this knowledge is becoming available to all of us. On the internet, in articles, books, videos and training programs.
The question is, are we ready leave the safety of “I know”? Are you ready? Are you ready to question everything you know and go for a new level of self-understanding and life mastery? If not, neuromarketing, neuroleadership, neuropolitics, limbic selling, and just other people will take care of your desires, hopes and your destiny. If yes, there is a way to learn, grow and achieve freedom. You can achieve a higher level of inner, personal freedom. You can achieve self-knowledge. Start learning today.
What can you do immediately? A good start would be to get high quality information about your mind. I would recommend the New York Times bestseller “Thinking Fast and Slow” by prof. Daniel Kahneman, where you will meet your two selves – System 1 and System 2. It not so much a “how to” book, but a “what’s going on” book.
